The short version: your text is summarized and discarded, never stored and never used to train anything. Here is the whole of it.
01Text you summarize
Text you paste is sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic’s API, which produces the summary, and is returned to you. We do not write your text or the summary to any database, log, or file. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train models. If you close the page, the text is gone from our side.
02Analytics
We count visits with a self-hosted Matomo instance (frontstat.com). It records aggregate usage such as page views and referrers. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share visitor data.
03Email
We only have your email address if you type it into the optional subscribe box. It is stored with Resend, our email provider, and used for the occasional note we describe at the point of signup. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.
04Storage on your device
The site keeps two small values in your browser’s local storage: your theme choice and a count of your recent summaries (used to show the optional subscribe box). Both stay on your device and can be cleared from your browser at any time.
05Your rights
This site is operated from France and follows the GDPR. Since we do not keep your text, most requests concern the email list: to access or delete your data, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to us via the contact page.
06Subprocessors
Anthropic (summarization), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Matomo self-hosted (analytics). Payment processing does not exist on this site; the free tool has no paid tier here.
